This week we have had our art week
and we have been making our
Egyptian cats.

The fun begins!

First of all we had to fill
our bottles
with sand.

We then worked in the hall and made
the cats' head out of plasticene.

We then prepared the strips of
modroc ready to make our
cats.

Quin's perfect tray of modroc!
We wet the modroc in water and then
began to mummify our cats.

On Thursday we painted them carefully.

Finally we decorated our cats and they all
look absolutely fantastic!

Our Egyptian Cats can be seen smiling
out of our classroom window!

A superb design for one of the cats.

We have had a brilliant week!

28.1.2011

This week we wrote our stories based on the
Scarab Beetle story that we have been listening to
in Literacy Hour.

In dance we have really enjoyed
learning to do
Morris dancing
'Lads A Bunchin!'

We have been working really hard to learn
our number bonds to twenty and tables.

Our class Egyptian display

We found out five facts about Egypt
and designed our own posters.

We have also been using Revelation Art
and have created desert landscapes
using different media.

We had ten minutes extra play
as we were given the
Golden Lunch Box again!!!!!
