COMIC RELIEF WEEK

This week was Science week
We have worked as a team in class
and on mix-up Friday.

On Tuesday the choir worked with
Jonathan Palmer to rehearse for
the concert on Saturday.

In maths we collected data from the class and
learnt how to make a tally chart and answer
questions on our chosen data.

In Science we played chocolate teapot
and we had a treasure hunt.
We had to find materials in the classroom
that had specific properties.

In ICT we worked together to make a display
on how to move on our learning.
We did managing distractions and
not managing distractions!

We did being friends and not being friends!

This is our brilliant display.

On Friday we celebrated
COMIC RELIEF!
We all looked absolutely brilliant in
assembly.

On Friday we also had our Science mix up day
with Year 3 to 6.
We all had a great time.

"I'm going to put my hand up twice, because
it was brilliant!" Adele

"I enjoyed blowing in the straws, because
when you blow in the water
you get a different sound!" Sam

"I found out if you put dirty water
in a filter you can seperate the mud
and get clean water." Freddie

GOLDEN TIME & GOLDEN LUNCH BOX
Last week we won the Golden lunchbox again!
We had a ten minute disco, followed by
musical statues and musical bumps!

The monster mash!

Do! Do! Do! Dah! Dah! Y.M.C.A!

Some of Year 3 did a sponsored dance!
Well done!

And Sam did a solo!

Well done Year 3 for another fun-packed
week of learning!
Thank you for dressing up and giving
to those who need.
You are all super stars!

Our Wow Day!

We had a brilliant time this week
when Charlie came into school
and showed us how to make a
Tudor House.

We made a poor man's house, which
was a third smaller than real life.

Using a frame and willow we made
the walls to the house.
We put the dwarf wall down in the rich man's house.

We learnt how to thatch a roof with willow.

Charlie showed us how the poor man's house
was made and how to split the wood.

We made the slate roof and the thatched roof.

We took it in turns to make wooden pegs using the bodger.

We had to work as a team to build the house.

We were really pleased with the house!

We put mud and sand mixed together on the
willow to make the walls.

Well done year 3.
You worked really well as a team.

After school we were really happy to show
our parents what we had done.

We all thought it was brilliant.

What a brilliant first week back!
In Literacy we wrote our stories
based on Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
King Tut and The Mummy Family!

We told the story in our circle.

On Wednesday we did our class assembly
and in the afternoon for our families.

After our assembly we showed our parents our
cats and posters.

We then had the Mummy Challenge!
In our groups we had to mummy a
mummy or a daddy!
We had to use al the toilet roll
and work as a team.
Fantastic results!

Thanks to the Mums and Dads, who
volunteered to be a mummy
And thanks to you all for
coming and celebrating our work.
We really had a good time.
