3.12.2010

We wrote up our instructions - How to make a drawbot and drew a
diagram of a complete circuit using a motor. We made our drawbots
more stable and let our drawbots do some more drawings.

We began to open our Advent Calendar this week.

We began to build up our own Nativity Scene
under the Christmas Tree!

We have had a very busy week rehearsing
and we enjoyed watching each class perform
their scene in the play, as well as watching KS1
performing their play and watching ours.
In maths we have been doing co-ordinates
and in Literacy writing our own version
of the Nativity.

10.12.2010

This week we worked together to put our LED
lights on our Christmas Decorations. We were
very pleased with the results.

We also worked in groups to make
the Nativity Tableau of Mary and
Joseph and the baby Jesus. We enjoyed
singing Christmas songs while we worked
together.

And finally after a lot of hard work
we performed our Nativity play.
We really hope you enjoyed it.

26.11.10

We have had another busy week!
We have learnt to tell the time in
Numeracy. We listened to the Nativity
story and watched the Old Vic Nativity.
We have written our script
for the play and auditioned for our
parts. On Friday we had mix up
afternoon and made Christmas
decorations to decorate the hall.

19.11.10

We have had a brilliant week this week -
the drawbot challenge, PE sequences,
fractions in Numeracy, Big Write in Literacy
and of course Hogwart Day for Children in Need.
That was very special, especially when Snape
visited our classroom!

We have been developing our floor sequences
in PE and have learnt how to incorporate
different balances and different ways to
travel with our partners.

The winner of the Book Fair Competition!
Well done!

In Science and Technology we had the
challenge to make a drawbot from
that would make a circular pattern.
This was a challenge everyone really
enjoyed.

We had to work together to make
our drawbots.
